Hair cells with sterocilia within the Spiral Duct of Cochlea. They are innervated by the nerves fibers from Spiral ganglion from where cochlear nerve arises.
Organ of corti
Receptor for a sense of hearing is present on Organ of Corti which is present in basilar membrane present in the Spiral duct of Cochlea (part of membranous labyrinth filled with endolymph within bony cochlea).
Scala vestibuli is continued with scala tympani at the apex of the cochlea. Both are filled with perilymph.
From the ganglionic cell layer (from bipolar neuron), optic nerve arises.
