Ramcharitmanas is a 16th-century epic poem by Tulsidas that retells the Ramayana in Awadhi, a dialect of Hindi. It narrates the life and adventures of Lord Rama, from his divine birth and exile to his heroic battle against the demon king Ravana and eventual return to his kingdom.

The Ramcharitmanas is divided into seven Kands, each detailing Lord Rama's early life, marriage to Sita, exile, life in the forest, search for Sita, Hanuman's heroic journey to Lanka, battle between Rama and Ravana, and later life, including Sita's banishment and Rama's sons. Each Kand provides a detailed account of Rama's adventures. 

7 kands are Bala Kand, Ayodhya Kand, Aranya Kand, Kishkindha Kand, Sundar Kand, Yuddh Kand and Uttar Kand.
